1. Anmeldung (address registration)

Deadline: within two weeks of moving in, at one of the citizens' offices (Bürgerberatungen). You can't register in advance: the earliest possible day is the day you actually move in. • Bring all your ID documents in original for everyone being registered, plus the Wohnungsgeberbestätigung. If your spouse is moving from abroad, also bring your marriage certificate. For minors, bring the birth certificate, and a custody declaration if the parents aren't married.

Online: possible for a new main or sole residence. 4. Students: blocked account and visa money
